Mt Washington hill climb

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mt Washington hill climb

I am registered for the Mt Washington hill climb as well as the pre ride..........I am having second thoughts about driving all the way down there twice for a 1 hr race.

I thought I read somewhere on their website that you can sell your spot, and that riders can get on a waiting list, and have a chance to buy a spot.....but I can't seem to find how to do this. Does anyone know?

Thanks.

if it's only a 1hr race for you, you should definitely go.

regardless - just do it.

Seriously, if this is an hour race for you, you owe it to yourself to go. Have you done it before?

There is a waiting list. I believe you should email the promoter to let them know if you'd like to open your spot.

I am registered too. I am going to go this year because it is my first time, and I don't want to be having a heart attack the first time I see the mountain.

See, I'd have an advantage, for me it would be a two hour race.

I'll echo the comments... if the OP can honestly come close to an hour for the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, you should be doing it.

If you can't come close to an hour, but you love climbing -- you should do it.
