Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do you see peoople riding and wondering if they hangout here. Like it's a requirement of bike ownership or something. Anyway, i wanted to pat this guy on the back cause that's a good climb....

Are you from that area?

I am originally, and the group that I used to ride with (Team Nail City) is prepping to head down to Snowshoe Mtn for their annual BITM team event. It's a Fri, Sat, Sun "retreat" that includes a 74 mile loop with 9250 ft of climbing. So it's a possibility that the person/people you saw out on that climb may be prepping for it.

No actually I'm from Pittsburgh. I service a bodyshop in Triadelphia and was heading that way when I saw him close to the top with a lot of suffer all over his face. I always thought it would be a great ride DOWN!

I'm trying to think if a bikeforums "missed connections" would be a great idea, or a terrible one.
