Who here rides a Felt?
Which one, what do you think of it and why did you choose it?
Or any other information you think I should have (about Felts). J |
Felt F50, 2003, Aluminium frame, carbon fork, Shimano Ultegra 9 speed. Bought at a LBS for 330 dollars. Looks and rides great. Fantastic bike!

with Mavic SL premium Superlights |
I got the 2009 Felt F4SL. I was looking at all available brands, Trek, Sepcialized, Felt, Cervelo etc.
In my opinion, you get slightly more for your money with Felt than with the other brands. Also, in my case, my fit with the Felt was more comfortable. Overall, I love the bike. It has very good components and is great for long distance rides. |
2007 F3C. I'm happy with it, but I don't descend as well on it as my previous road bikes. Get a high speed wobble
|
I ride a Felt AR2 and love it!

just got an '05 felt f55, full dura-ace, vista sl wheelset. really nice ride for $999. I'm happy.

2010 Felt AR4 :)

No nonsense light F50 upgraded here and there throughout the years with castoffs from friends and occasional slow moving inventory from the LBS. Now weighing in the vicinity of 17.5 lbs. I've since swapped the fork for an Ouzo Pro with 5mm higher axle to crown which leaves it quite well behaved. It always had a bit of a high speed wobble with the Ritchey. Updated pics will be available after the spring tuneups are finished.

I have a 2006 Felt F90 + Mavic Ksyrium + Shimano 105/10 speed drivetrain and shifters.
About to have an Ultegra crankset to finish off my upgrades for now... After about 8,000 miles of riding my Felt, I still love it. Eventually I'll upgrade to something "nicer" but for now I don't really see a need. |

I have a Felt B2. In general I really like the bike. I think their tri bike line is good, maybe the best from top to bottom. I've had some issues with the bayonet fork which I think stemmed from the fact that I moved to a new area and the dealer here isn't as familiar as the bike shop I bought it from. Felt is very tied to their dealers.
Despite the problems I had, I would still buy a Felt road bike if it were a good price. I think they have a bike for everyone from the AR to the Z series. In my opinion the F series in the smaller sizes could use a geometry overhaul but thats my opinion. Anywho, good luck with the bike search. |
I've been very, very happy with my Z70. Bought it in Sept '08 as an '07 leftover, and I think I got a spectacular bike for the money. 105 shifters/FD, Ultegra RD, Gossamer triple, unbranded Tektro brakes with Koolstop pads, meh wheels. Got the FSA wheels dirt cheap, Gel Flow SLR on closeout, and just recently got half-price Ultegra 6700 pedals for it. I'm good for a while.
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_Zij74T0Bq-Y/Sc...0/DSC_1915.JPG I daydream about upgrading, but then I go ride it again. |
I've an '09 Felt Z80 with Tiagra groupo. I'm very content with it although the shifting isn't the greatest at times, but having more $$$ in my wallet after my first road bike purchase makes up for it (that and killing guys on S2's up hills at the local group rides)!

Here's my 2008 Z25:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3039/...1f2e4c04_b.jpg 13,000 miles and still going strong. The folks at Felt deliver a lot of bang for the buck compared to some of the bigger names out there. Good luck on your choice! |
Bad pic, but a Felt F35 frame from 2003 (?) built up with old ultegra 6500 components. Fresh out of my home factory and ready to ride!

I recently bought a FeltZC carbon and it is probably one of the most comfortable bikes I have ever ridden or owned

I have a 06 F90 that got me into road riding being a former mtb'er, also a Felt. I have loved every mile, even more as I upgrade, a set of Neuvations, Specialized carbon bottle cages, I just did a drivetrain upgrade, got a good deal on a 9 speed Tiagra group, cassette, chain, Fd, 2 pc crank, Ultegra bottom bracket, shifters, cables and installation for $225.00, not a huge jump in quality but at least I have real shifters now and gained a gear and the crank IS a huge jump from the RPM crank plus I now have aluminum chainrings, I also added Cane Creek SCR5 calipers with Koolstop pads.
I love the frame, I don't have anything to compare it to, it may be harsh but I don't know any better so what? |
