Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had something "ship" from ribble on the 19th. Don't really have any expectation that it will show up this week.

Along with my Descente jacket and Selle San Marco Mantra saddle. Damn it. I needed that saddle!

Update for you guys my pedals shipped the 19th and wasn't expecting them until next week but before I left for class today they were sitting in front of my door. Despite the volcano that was pretty fast.

So where is the PBK ship bound? Can we monitor its progress on the Internets?

Are people still getting their credit card numbers stolen when ordering there? People used to have that problem on here and I'm curious if they sorted that out. It's the only impediment to me ordering from there.

I had a PBK order shipped on the 13th that has not shown up yet. Emailed them and this was the response:

Please see below the last statement supplier to us from Royal mail:

mail leaving the UK for USA & Canada
We are sending items to the USA by sea: airmail items posted 16th-21st
April inclusive and addressed to the USA, will leave the UK on 24th
April and should arrive in the States on 30th April, for delivery week
commencing 3rd May. We will provide further information about items
posted to the USA after these dates, as soon as we have confirmed onward
contingency plans. Mail posted from 15th-19th April which has previously
been passed to airlines ready to fly, is being retrieved and despatched
via these arrangements. Mail for Canada is currently being held in the
UK. To date, this mail has been processed and passed to the relevant
airlines so it is ready for the first available flight.

Did anyone get hit with a credit card conversion fee?

I ordered some cigars from Switzerland and got hit with a 35 dollar conversion fee by Visa.
Wondering is it a Visa thing, a one time thing, or everybody has to pay thing.
