Need help identifying this Specialized

Hi All,
I'm going to look at this bike today:
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/1718836475.html

Seems comparable to Allez Sport. But I'm I don't recognize this frame as an Allez unless it is several years old.

Price is reasonable compared to a new Allez sport which can go for up to $820 new.

Think it's a good deal?

Thx,
D

Great answer to his question :thumb:

That frame is a specialized s-works e5. It is a few years older, but generally considered one of the better alu framed racing bikes.

I found it here as well. Looks like the design goes back to 2003.

Checking the 2003 Allez models, I don't see any that come spec'd like this. So it must've been built up by the frame..

Does $599 seem reasonable? I'm thinking of offering $450 based on it's age and spec.

The components are pretty low end. At that point you're pretty much buying the frame. But, that is a pretty low price for a nice alu frame. I'd say offer him $450, see what he says.
