Are all gloves Crap...or what ??
I am I the only one who burns through gloves like crazy?? This must be where they really make some serious cash.Ive tried pearl and Giro and not the cheap ones either.Just bought Giro Zero's and loved them until today they ripped at the palm ???Only had them about 2 weeks ?? I use gloves with very little to no padding.If you guys have any suggestions please let me know

Fox makes some good gloves...not sure about no padding, though. why don't you want padding?

Just search for weight lifting gloves or even riding gloves (horse riding)
In a moment of a fool and his money, I almost dropped the coin on those $60 Giro Lusso (I think that's what they're called) gloves. But then I realized doing so would be insane.
I'd actually rather not ride with gloves but in NYC, it seems like it's always either winter (need double long gloves) or it's allergy season (need gloves to wipe my nose since I don't like blowing snot rockets).

Had a pair of Pearl Izumi gloves I loved...my mastiff ate 'em. Replaced with Cannondales since that's what the LBS had. These were fine, but finally wore holes in 'em after about 4 years. Got new C'dales and they're awful...irritating the webs between fingers and spontaneously disassembling after about month.

I'm not a huge glove fan. I prefer to be barehanded, but I wear them for racing. I have some paddingless PI gloves that aren't bad. I bought them at the PI outlet in Vacaville but that's the only place I've ever seen them.

I use a pair of slightly padded Nike's that are no longer made - this season is something like year 3 for them.

What the hell are you doing to your gloves? I have the cheapest model of Giros and they have been fine for over a year now.

I generally get a couple of years from each pair of gloves. Even "basic" PI ones.
I wonder if yours are too tight or are somehow being stressed for them to fail that quickly.

I have so PI gloves that were fine for the first 4 months, then I fell and they have a small tear in the palm now. They did their job. Now i really want some Giro Zeros and trying to support my lbs , I've been to all 5 and not one of them have a size that fits me.

PI Octane with Pittards Leather. No padding and can be machine washed. I have two seasons on a pair, this will be their third, and they show no signs of wear.

If it weren't for the full fingered Dakine's I wore yesterday, I would have had road rash there too. Backcountryoutlet.com or bonktown/chainlove.com runs some nice deals and they're breathable.

If you like to lean your upper body weight down onto your handlebars, then you need sturdier gloves. The lightweight gloves are designed for people who keep their upper body loose and just want a little more grip, or maybe some protection in a crash.

The only gloves I've had that never say die are Louie Garneau ones, which is surprising because LG clothing typically sucks.
