could my ISP be the problem?
Just got a Giant Advanced SL with ISP. Great bike but I'm really hurting. Bike came with Fisik Arione saddle, first hour is fine after that I feel like I've been kick in the nuts. I am currently trying the Fisik Aliante which is way better for me, but still after an hour on the bike my nuts are killing me. I thinking my issue could be coming from the ISP being to stiff. Never had any pain like **** before with my old TCR. Any thoughts?

It's not the ISP, it's a regular fit issue. Wrong seat for you, bars too low, seat too high, etc.

+1. Presumably the ISP might not absorb as much vibration as some seatposts, but any effect would pale in comparison to fit issues. I ride a TCR Team Adanced, and can't say I notice any comofrt issues associated witht he fact it has an ISP. I would measure your old TCR as you have it set up, and then duplicate those exact measurements on your new TCR (such as seat height, drop to bars, reach to bars, distance of seat behind the BB.) |
so...what's ISP?

^ Internet Service Provider. This has been known to cause discomfort to cyclists before.

What about tire preasure? This new frame is so stiff, maybe I need less preasure in the tires to absorb some of that stiffness.

Fit. If stiffness is really the issue, I'd bet that it would take 2-3 hours before the stiff ride would cause pain.
Get yourself fitted. All IMO. |
Maybe shift around more. You can shift forward/back, side to side, stand, etc.

No, not the ISP. The ISP TCR is supposed to be more compliant than the standard.
