Knee Pain Please Help

hey everyone, im 21, been biking 200-250km a week at high pace. never had any knee problems before. but for some reason about a week ago on a ride I felt some pain in my knee and I didnt think much of it and finished the ride. Now my left knee feels weak, stiff, gives me random pains and just doesnt feel the same. Does anyone know what I should do? Please help, not being able to ride daily is killing me

If you have a chance check out andy pruitt's complete medical guide for cyclists. As I recall there is a whole chapter on knee pain.

Is it pain in the tendons or knee itself?

Knee pain is really hard to self-diagnose. If its at the top/center and feels like the patella it could be a number of things, and the sooner you know what exactly it is, the better. You can take some days off but I'll just come back.

I would say get a pro fit done so that you stop putting strain on your knees with your current setup. The body is strong and resists changes/damage, but eventually it catches up, so maybe your fit was ok before, but in reality, was not so good.

Maybe that's what it needs.

Maybe you have tendinitis and need to take NSAIDS to lessen the inflammation. Maybe you have chondromalacia. Maybe you have a meniscus tear.

You have no idea, and neither do I. Maybe you should see what someone whose job it is to know has to say about the subject.
