Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have Dora and Boots stickers on my down tube that my 2 yo put on. I think of it as badges of honour.

I feel sorry for you that you would react to having your children's name on your water bottle.

Hmm. Can't remember the last time I bought a bottle. Probably because I've got something like 30 freebies in a cupboard from events and such.

If that's your wife's big screw up of the month, let it slide. If she messes with your stuff all the time but still looks great after 3 kids, let it slide.

Cover the sharpie marks with a dry-erase maker. Remove with a paper towel. Good as new.

I have the largest, gheyest, gray dolphin sticker on one of my primary video cameras that was put there by my god-daughter when she was 3. She's going to be 10 this October and the sticker is still there. I'll move it to my next camera when this camera is put to rest.

Your kids just got some new bottles. Let 'em have them and go buy new ones. Maybe go color-coded this time. I have 6 black ones, my daughter has 2 greens and my wife has 2 blues. So far so good.

My 8-yr old son uses my cytomax-stained PBK bottle for all his sporting activities. His name is all over it. He demands cytomax. If it's ever just water, he claims lack of energy due to missing cytomax.

OP, I know what you mean. My two camel bak bottles are my best. My kids can have them when they pry them from my cold dead hands.

If it were me, I would have beaten her and the kids and given the dog a couple of kicks for good measure.

But that's just me.

Then when she asks about it, look at her with a blank stare and say, "Well use one of the other 30 that you have in your closet."

Drink a liter or so of water and then wait until the entire family is in one room. Get your water bottles, enter the room, drop trou and urinate into each of your favorite bottles. Now pass them around so that the family clearly knows which bottles they are. You will not have to worry about your wife or kids using YOUR bottles, now that you have marked them correctly.

Wow, I can't believe this actually got serious on page 3.

So how many grams is that ink setting you back?

Do any of your kids happen to be named 'Imslow', 'Runmeover', or 'FUharleydude'?

First thing I thought is that you now know which one to put the sports drink in every time.

More importantly, my Podiums are kind of stiff - like hard to squeeze. Really hard if it's cold out. Is that common? My Podium Chill is the opposite.

Apparently you haven't read much or any of those 3 pages, because the only people that were "serious" at all are ones like yourself that would take issue with someone venting about such a thing. Do you not have little pet peeves that set you off for some reason, even though their bearing on life and the world in general is minuscule at best?

Search this thread for the "worry basket" post. You either get it or you don't.... and if you don't you probably have bigger problems than the ones you perceive to OP to have.

Best reply.

Seriously, if the OP needed to vent about something as trivial as this, then either his life is absolutely fantastic or he needs to stop getting upset about unimportant stuff.
