I know. And zero miles. LBS put it together 3 days ago. Still had plastic all over handlebars. The red is much darker in real life, bit like a Ferrari!!!

At that price, are you pulling people's chains? I don't even see Roubaix in Red color on Specialized's website. Is that with Ultegra? Fully warrantied? What is your bikeshop? Are you the owner's son or sumthin?

It's supposed to do that.

The color is a special color for bikes that are meant to be demo models at the dealers.
With that being the case, I'm not impressed with a dealer taking a model that is specifically supposed to be a demo bike, pulling it out of the box and selling it within three days. I hope they have plenty of roubaix models in different sizes that they allow test rides on.

Who cares, if it's warrantied. There is nothing wrong with a red color. It's actually a beautiful color. I saw this aweful demo green Specialized MTB. It was totally ugly. Red is a nice color. You don't think people think and ask, "What do you have there?" OP got an incredible deal, if it is warranted. I have a black Cervelo RS-SRAM Red, but if I saw OP's Roubaix Expert-Ultegra, I'd say, "Wow, that's a beauty bike."
I saw a girl with a Trek 2.1. Really nice alu-frame / 105 bike. She was riding on the sidewalk. I gave her dinottelighting.com web address. I told her my wife used go go sidewalk, until I gave her a Dinotte 400R, on strobe flash, and suddenly, "Wow drivers can see me, and they don't ride on my a**s.
This lady I met needs to go on the road, cuz she wants to race train, even though she is 50 yr old masters-race entrant, and not be scared by cars.
Nobody riding a bike deserves to be scared by cars, no matter how fast you are going.
My best friend in HS was crushed by a car in Cali. To weeks at Stanford ICU. It's not happening to me, in Kansas even though there is no bike-riding consciousness whatsoever. I'm not saying, "I'm not saying, I have I have A LEGAL RIGHT TO THE ROAD," I'm saying, "Wake up you text messagers, I don't want to sue you, or my next of kind to sue you, I just want you to see me, and give me space."
Sometimes adolescent and older pick/up drivers hassle me. Not that often. Mostly people appreciate, "I saw you waay ahead." They tell me, they give me thumbs up they stop at intersections and say, "I saw you from a halfi mile behind, nice light." I just want to signal them, "I'm ahead of you, leave me alone, there is room for both of us."
Some of you riders just don't have that much experience to understand. I was riding in LA in the 60s. But there weren't so many teenage drivers or old people. Zero text messagers. Today, you have to alert inexperienced, reflex-challenged drivers. The Dinotte 400R is an excellent "Wake up" device. It could be better, like a xenon-tube super flasher. But it's really good. I don't get scared. My wife, she's a girl, she doesn't get scared.

Nice bike. I ride with a guy that has the exact same bike (demo), the red looks much better in person than in the pic. It's a very hot looking bike compared to the 2010 'stock' roubaix expert colors. I've got the white version, but I'm an old conservative understated kind of guy, so it works out well.

Not one to pull chains. Just really happy with my bike. It has a full warranty, it's brand new after all. The shop has 5 Roubaix expert rentals that he also uses for demo rides so He was for sure not compromising his services for potential customers.
I just said I love the RED, can i buy it. I was about to buy a white one and the red one caught my eye behind the counter as it was being built. He did give me a brilliant deal. I have bought my girlfriends Sirrus, my old Sirrus comp and a bunch of stuff.
Makes sense to me and obviously to him.We are not related!!!! And yes it has full ultegra.

OP, your dealer is breaking rules. Not to say is a bad guy, not at all, but most Specialized dealers are intimidated to do stuff like hold MSRP
Mike Sinyard went to Asia to get low-priced deals for bike construction in the early 80s. Everybody on the retail-consumption end of the chain ought to be able to do sell for low prices,
Who cares if it's a demo? Red, nice color. You should have seen ther sickly green Epic MTB demo in puke green in 07 season totally sucked.
