Thoughts on Giant Rapid 3?

So i'm considering purchasing a giant rapid 3

I don't really care about riding super long distances, or getting down into a nice aerodynamic position. So with that in mind, are the components it uses decent for a new road biker?

Thanks

i picked up one of these at the end of march and i love it. it's fast and the components seem good to a noob like myself. folks around the forum often mention that you get more for your dollar with giant. i like it because it's a real flat-bar road bike.

feel free to ask anything in particular about the bike and i'll do my best to answer.

keep in mind that i'm coming from a $100 mountain bike so i'm not an expert.

You might want to visit the hybrid section. Looking at the spec sheet, it seems like a good decent bicycle.

Solid bikes, you usually get a slightly higher components spec with Giant. My mom has a Rapid or a Dash, can't remember which....she loves it.
