Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

*sigh* pot holes

I was out riding this morning, and I was dicking around with my computer, next thing I know THUD! I hit some nasty Vermont pot hole. Had to have been about 1-2" deep. I hit it at probably 20mph... My bottle ejected I hit it so hard. I didn't hear anything strange, but I wonder do you think it's worth it to get my CF fork looked at? Just to be safe? I finished the rest of the 6 miles left of my ride (including a 40mph descent) and didn't die... but think it's worth it to get the fork checked out at my LBS?

Thanks.

I think you could probably do a visible crack check yourself, but what do I know? Just as much as you.

I've been where you are, and the peace of mind is worth the trip to the shop to have it checked.
