Indoor Bike Rack?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Indoor Bike Rack?

I'm moving soon, into a tiny city apartment and I won't have a garage any more (no car either ) So I'm looking for a rack to store my bikes inside, because I don't think I want to just lean them up against a wall forever.

I found this

It has good reviews it seems, but does anyone here have experience with it?

Thanks.

Ace Hardware sells a two pronged, V that's held on a wall with two screws. I have several of them so that I can hang bikes up when I'm not working on them. If you use the anchor screws they come with, they can hold two bikes. I paid something like $6 each. Very cost effective, and they take up a lot less space than that Performance rack.

I'm going to have a similar problem in the fall. I've decided to go with wall hooks to hang the bike. It's cheap and is small.

This looks sweet!

I'm going to see if ACE has those tomorrow morning.

You might want to mount the V rack thing on a painted 2 x 4 that is cut to sit on the floor and reach up to the ceiling. Then you can attach the 2 x 4 (with a lag bolt) at almost any point on a wall without regard to any stud placement in the wall. WQhen and if you need to move again, you will only have one lag bolt hole to spackle. The hole will be high up on a wall where it is not so noticeable, as well.
