Reasonable price for conturion accordo?
Hi, I am shopping for my first road bike after my previous bike was stolen. I was wondering if the bike posted on craig's list is a reasonable price.
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/1756270823.html
description from craig's list:
"freshly tuned/trued 48cm Womens Centurian Accordo lightweight steel /Matching highly polished wheelst w quick realease / 12spd Shimano/new chain/saddle/tires/bar tape/ all gears serviced and brakes too! rides smooth "
Thank you very much for the help!

A) post this in the Classic and Vintage forum, not here.
B) Learn to use the search function.
C) HELL NO! That is a very old crappy bike. It's worth no more than $20.

That bike, as Zeimas said, is not worth anything even close to $400. It could be worth half that, if it's completely mint and barely ever ridden. But even so, this bike has downtube shifters and a six-speed freewheel on the back, with 52-42 chainrings, so the gearing is not very "forgiving" if you have any hills around you.
Are you sure about what size you need? Sizing is very important. If you're not very knowledgeable about fit or bikes in general, then you're probably best off buying a new one from a shop where you can be fitted by someone and will get some service after the sale. New bikes, found on sale, can be quite inexpensive and will have modern components. That means they are easier to upgrade later, as you grow into them. Get one with a decent frame that fits you well, and don't worry too much spending a lot of extra money for higher level components. You can upgrade them later.

For the OP: My wife had an Accordo years ago, and it was fine for just riding around. She did several metric centuries on it, and commuted a few times a week (25 miles RT) for a couple of summers. As others have said, though, that's WAY too much money. Around here, a seller might get $100 for one in really good condition, but I've seen similar bikes in thrift shops, maybe needing a tune-up, for half that or less.

MSRP $370. At least some of those had pretty sweet frames - Tange Infinity. It would have to have awfully nice parts in awfully nice condition for me to spend $400 on it, though.
