handlebar positioning - flat tops / drops (fsa wing pro, 3t ergonova)

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm having some fit issues with saddle and bar rotation, pretty related. Moved my seat further back recently and tried to rotate my bars so the drops were closer to parallel with the ground but I got some big shoulder/neck pain. Too much weight on my hands. The hoods are pretty much at the highest point on the bar. Right now the drops point towards the rear axle, which works. The brakes are a little far away though.

Fire away, some things have changed since the picture fit wise but the bars are pretty much the same.

Ok. Poster is referring to the top section where is meets the hoods. Flat, meaning the section is parrallel to the ground....Got it.

FSA Omega Compacts should be close, as should Deda Zero 100 Compacts. I have a set of both and the top section and bottom section seem parrallel to me....never really gave it much thought....

Rather than jack the OP's thread, you might want to start your own. The OP's thread really isn't a fit issue, just a quesion about handlebar angle.

Pics of you on the bike would also be helpful. Weight on hands and shoulder/neck pain could be the result of incorrect stem length/height/angle.

Here's a shot of my FSA Omega setup, although I just tried out a Deda Newton setup due to the bulge I got at the end of the hoods using FSA Omegas...

I'm sure the people from 5 years ago will find that very informative.
