Lots of tightness in my hips. Advice on good stretching routines???

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lots of tightness in my hips. Advice on good stretching routines???

I made the mistake of going out and running 2 nights ago and now my hips are tight as can be. The tightness is outside of where I understand the hip flexors to be (but I could easily be wrong) and is on the outside of my hips and somewhat high. My hip flexors get pretty tight anyway and I'm thinking I'm not focusing on them enough when I stretch. What stretches do you use for your hips?

Shoot, there used to be a link to an older version of the cycling specific chapter of book. https://goo.gl/hJ6O. It was beyond useful when I had hip flexor issues. Did a quick search but couldn't find it.

Google for "yoga poses" and "hip flexor", "ITB". Read the comments in this link : https://archive.roadbikereview.com/04/0EFCB3EE.php

Hip flexor. make sure you keep your back straight.. don't lean forward with your chest.

Piraformis. more outside and "under" but everyone is tight here. ankle should be on your knee.. pull on the leg your ankle is resting on.

sliding your ankle down more and kinda hugging that knee will get a bit different spot on the outside also.
