New Tire Help

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like my Bontrager Race Lite Hardcases. Some say they handle poorly in the rain, but I had no problems, and only 2 flats in 2500 miles, and those were both on the same stretch of ridiculously awful road, as in tons of broken glass.

A recent thread has quite a few of us praising the Continental GP4000 (myself included in that bunch).

Just got the Continental GP4000's, have about 200 miles on them so far, no complaints, def a nice smoothe tire. mounting was a pita, very tight.

I like the Serfas Seca RS. Maybe 1200 miles and no flats. I train and race them with no issues. Are they the best riding tires? Probably not but they're cheap and work well.

My stock Vittoria Zaffiro Pro tires on my CAAD-9 have 1000+ flat-free miles and ride awesomely.

After all the glowing reviews of the Continental GP4000S tires on this site I ordered a pair from Pro Bike Kit when they were on sale delivered for $60 a pair. They're sitting in my garage and I'll mount them when these tires are done.
