Importance of cross training

Like I've posted earlier, I am jogging 4.25 mile Mon, Wed and Fri and Cycling on Tue, Thu and Sat (Saturday being the longest). I'm still a newbie.

I'm slowly getting the hang of it and want to ride every day and jog a bit lesser. Will that help? Or would you suggest keeping the jog constant and slowly start adding miles on my jog days? Are there any downsides to stopping jogging altogether? (I  riding)

Please advise

I am not sure what your goals are. No matter the type of exercise, you need to mix up intensities.
All the zones if you are HR monitoring.

I cycle and cross train with weights, ice hockey and life.
