bib shorts <$150

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

bib shorts <$150

Can anyone recommend a good bib short for less than $150. Ones with a longer inseam are preferable

Desoto.

I just can't believe how comfortable they are. They do have a long inseam as well.

If you go to www.gearandtraining.com, and use the discount code wintergear, you can get them for $107.99 shipped.

Assos FI Uno. Probably at the top (or slightly above) your limit from some of the UK shops. But worth it.

If you're looking for a long distance, high density chamois, look no further than the Gore Ozon. You can order them on Wiggle for $100 (phenomenal deal) or buy them at a shop for around $150.

The Sugoi RS Bib Short is right at $150. Super nice for the price.

Capo Modena also deserves another mention.

I bought a 2009 Hammer (Voler) bib short and was not impressed. I like my Pearl Izumi Pro shorts a lot more. Is the 2010 a big improvement?

If you wear a small, and don't mind yellow shorts:

https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/roa...ts/ASSOZBBS350

If you wear an XXL or XXXL and don't mind white:

https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/roa...ts/GIORZBBS360

Elsewise:

https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/roa...ts/GIORZBBS370

Just watch out for nipple chafing on that last set...

Not sure about the Assos, but I think the Giordana's have a decently-long inseam.

Buddy of mine bought some Castelli bibs. They had Castelli printed down each leg. Within 3 rides, all the letters fell off. Looked like crap.

The Hammer bibs by Bergamo <$90, and they are fantastic, that is assuming you don't mind "Hammer" plastered all over them. I have three pair. There is no elastic on the leg grip, and the chamois is all day comfortable. These are easily my best bibs, and I have many pairs.

I still ride New Cannan Cyclery kit CDR sent me for next to nothing. They are now worn to hell but I really don't notice a difference between them and my Mavic or Team bibs...

Or you could get these:

https://www.jnsunsports.com/servlet/t...Shorts,/Detail

They are $20... I have a few pairs and no complains. I'm new to riding and I don't know what I'm missing.

Yeah, but like I said. I've no complaints, but I don't know what I'm missing. So maybe I don't want to know. I used regular workout shorts for a while (no padding). I have a 200+ miles on them. Not a lot, but something.
