We can all ride $4000 15 lb road rockets, but body weight is free to lose.
For clarity's sake, take water bottles out of the equation.
My bike and I are 179lbs. You?

Bike ~16 lbs , waterbottles and bag are probably another 5 lbs.

a typical day out =..... over 190 lbs

I thought what REALLY matters is that I ride my road bike and enjoy it.
I must be in the wrong place.

198 + 19 = too fat to total
And I'd state that I'm 6'2 but somebody that is 128lbs will state that they are 6'4 and I'll get all depressed again...

Uber Goober
So if somebody weighs 100 lbs and rides a 50 lb bike, are you assuming they're the same speed as the 135 lb person on a 15 lb bike? Why not just ask "Are you fat 'n' slow or fit 'n' fast?"

20 lb bike (don't care enough to weigh it) and 230+ rider = 250+........but who's counting?
What really matters? Doing centuries with 10,000-12,000 ft elevation gains while a bunch of skinny ligthweight guys with lightweight bikes don't or won't!
What really matters? How many of you lightweight twiggy guys have done these kinds of rides? How many just sit around and post about how skinny your bike is?
That's what really matters!

Rider (140) + bike (18) = 158. I'm 5' 7.25". Body fat around 13% (not sure how accurate that is). Bike cost me <$1100. Also the bike weight includes cages, pedals, and computer.

95 Cannondale R600...about 21.5 lbs dry. Paid $5.
Rider...about 148 lbs wet
Still manage to outpace about 95% of the "enthusiast cyclists" on the road. It's all about the MOTOR. Oh, I also run with Michelin City 700x32 front, and 700x28 rear.

I'm not saying. It's rude to ask a lady her weight.
