105 equipped aluminum frame bike. That's what I'd call 'workhorse level'. Decent quality and durability for a reasonable price. Every manufacturer makes one. This one is Scott's.

That being said, I like Scott's graphics.

If you feel the urge to upgrade something, I'd go for better quality tires. Conti GP4000s, Michelin Pro Race 3s, etc. Would provide an actual perceptible improvement to ride quality and performance.

Otherwise, make sure the bike fits you well, buy it, and go ride the heck out of it.

love mine. Ultegra rear 105 elsewhere. I really like the paint/graphics on it. I was riding a vintage steel Giant previous to this and I am really enjoying it. If you plan on getting one carefully inspect the bottom of the headtube where it connects to the forks as this was a problem area in the past for Scott Speedsters. During production the headsets weren't installed correctly and caused cracking - usually very small and hard to notice at first. Should be okay if its a 2010 model.

I just picked one up and was wondering what anyone thought of it? Nothing serious, just haven't seen too much about Scott posted and just curious if theres any good or bad things about it? So far I like it, Ill check that stem thing out though. I cant complain yet, I wanted all 105 or better on an aluminum frame, didnt want to go to carbon, so it was what I been looking for.
