white tiress???

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

white tiress???

I was out at a local shop and someone was comming out of th shop with a road bike....it may have been a SS/FG. Not sure. I do know it had white tires. The tires appeared to have black sidewalls with yellow writing. The only bit of writing i caught was "Made in Germany".

Any idea what they would be as far as brand? They looked pretty sharp on that bike and ill be looking for tires soon. I know they were not the white MONDO or whatever Specialized offers in white. That tire is all white....sidewall and all.

I should have stopped the guy but didnt think if it until it was too late.

Any ideas?

...and I thought white handlebar tape was a bad idea because it would get dirty.

Even the blue Contis look like hell after 25 miles. White? They won't even last out of the driveway.

that has to be them. I didnt see the conti logo on them. I know they are made in germany though and it was about all i have found so far.

They were dirty but still looked sharp. Spendy tire are 57 bucks. I guess there are more expensive options for tires.

Pass.... they'd get too dirty too quick. I don't care for white bar tape & saddles, either.
