New bike arrived today! Guru Flite

Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

New bike arrived today! Guru Flite

Well, after a few weeks of waiting for a bike stuck in Customs.. it finally arrived. She's my first road bike and I was able to take her out for her first few inaugural miles tonight. I'm not sure exactly what to look for yet, but she felt great. She was nice and tight and very responsive. I turned a corner and saw a nice long straightaway so I stood up and decided to try her out. I looked down and saw I was going 29.2mph I was actually speeding in a neighborhood.. on a bike! Boy did it feel good! What a difference from my hardtail Kona with knobby tires.

Anyways, here is a pic. The Guru logo on the downtube is a darkish blue fading to yellow (and like the ziploc bags.. yellow and blue make green ) The picture makes the blue look almost neon, but that was just the flash. I'll take a picture outside tomorrow.

The tubing is Deda Fire.. Can anyone tell me what kind of quality aluminum that is?

So what do you think?

Guru Flite w/ 105 gruppo

A few more pics. Better pics tomorrow.

Thanks for looking!

Nice looking bike - CF fork, stem, seat post, aluminum frame - is that right? What about the bars? Alloy or CF? What does the bike weigh? And, if you don't mind saying, what did it cost??
