Crankset Q

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Crank arm length is part of bike fit and depends on your legs.

And some people will continue telling you it is a lot, while others will undoubtedly continue saying the opposite.

FWIW, I don't notice much difference in a 5mm crank arm difference. Your actual mileage may vary.

Yep. OP do you live somewhere hilly or flat? Also do you do a lot of climbing?

Q has nothing to do with crank length. Q is the stance width and would be affected by pedal spindle length. Ive never changed my crank length as I have no need but Q makes an enormous difference to my cycling. I cant ride a standard width bike more than a few k without pain.

Edit: Oops, i see now that you meant Q as in Question. Sorry.

you can definately change your rings (if the bcd is equal) or entire crank if you want however you may need to lengthen you chain a few links
