cycling tops...do they make a tank top design?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

cycling tops...do they make a tank top design?

So typically i ride in a normal cotton tank top or sleevless tshirt. IN the summer here i like to get as much sun as possible

Do they make tank tops out of dri fit material or cycing jerseys out of dri fit material that are sleevless? I cant stand sleeves while cycling especially when it is so nice out.

THe cotton stuff usually ends up soaked with sweat.

Any recommendatations for dri fit style tank tops for men? Id sure like to fine some.

I dont know about cycling singlets. But there are a lot of running singlets out there made from dri fit materials. Nike and Asics make the best stuff IMO. You can usually find a couple of them at sporting goods stores like Sports Authority but your best selection will be at a store dedicated to running. Check online running store like: http://www.runningwarehouse.com/descpageMRA-AMTS.html

If you like real cycling jerseys with zipper and back pockets, almost everywhere that sells cycling jerseys sells sleeveless jerseys. I've got a couple (one pretty much normal weight, the other super light weight) that I bought, IIRC from the close out/el-cheapo part of Performance online. Use them all the time when it's warm.

I'm new to road biking and I entered my first time trail last Saturday. I wore to the event cycling shorts and a Nike DriFit sleeveless shirt. As I proceeded to the starting line of the race, an organizer tells us that everyone must wear a shirt with sleeves. Well, I didn't have a shirt with sleeves so one of the race organizers was nice enough to give me and another guy a volunteer shirt, which we then cut in half and wore. We looked like asses.

But yeah, don't understand the reason for shirts with sleeves on them. I think its based upon tradition and another reason which I won't mention, cause it always cause a ruckus. I'll accept the rule, but I'll wear whatever the hell I want when riding independently.

hehehe...holy crap. I didnt realize what a subject this is. Sleeveless is a touchy subject. I never knew. I guess ive been looking like a complete ass this entire time. Ive never really been cool or in style but i had no idea i was complete ******.

Im more apt to say F' it and wear what i want IM not much for fitting in inside of any subculture to which i belong. Dont much like to follow the herd so to speak.

That list of rules is awesome Good read.

It's a badge of honour, and it's called a cyclist's tan unless you are a farmer. I believe it is also covered in "The Rules" (the sharper the line, the better). My wife is an avid cyclist and I cringe at her preference of tank tops ...at least she looks good in them. Maybe you could post pictures to convince us? (NO, I'm NOT serious!)

Confession: I own one sleeveless Marin MTB jersey. I pretend it's a vest and wear it as an outer layer

kaNUK

PS - My shoes are mostly black Diadoras. What colour socks am I supposed to be wearing?
