Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

900g Carbon

900g Carbon frame + 105 groupset = $2400

Worth it?

I'm thinking that I'll be getting some sort of deal on extras....

Curious on your thoughts.

Maybe. Depends on the frame and whether it fits.

Nah the dude at the bike shop I guess gets carbon frames made and puts his name on them. Either that or its a weird coincidence. They are pretty nice frames, but are around $1700 per. He says they are close to Cervelo geometry and he builds them up and does the whole fit thing. This is what it basically is but I can't afford the 2400.

Thanks for the replies!

My only concern would be reliability of the frame. A carbon frame should last decades, unless you are a pro racer that throws them away after a season. Find out about the warranty. My riding partner bought his Specialized Roubix for less than $2,000 with 105 on it and it has a warranty.

Looks like any number of generic CF frames that are available from various far east suppliers. If $1700 is the price for a complete bike, it's probably not too bad.

900g frame + 105 + $2400? My first thought was that you were looking at a slightly discounted Fisher Cronus.
