I do not accept you challenge good sir
well today while out for a simple recovery ride i am challenge to a race of sort. while stop at a stop sign i hear a screech and look back and see a rider about to run into me, but luckily he stop just before he rammed into me. laughing a bit in my head i road off, before the huge train of cars reached the intersection. well about maybe a minute later the rider who nearly hit me races by me and then slows the pace down a little. he then continued to look back at me, to make sure that he had "doped me" but then after about a min of unsuccessful riding he stops and turnes around huffing and puffing ( i did not even go faster i kept my steady easy pace). now not only did he race by me, but he didnt even continue to ride fast. i just dont understand why some people need to make themselves feel fast by trying to race by every person they see, and the best part, he had aero wheels (i think zipp 808's) and an srm (bungee corded to his handlebars) hahaha silly poser

m'kay...
I think I would have been more worried about his attempt to "dope" me. Sounds dirty if you ask me.

I'm sure his world revolves around you. Could have been doing a sprint or short interval or anything else, but probably not, he probably waited around for a while looking for some victim to randomly "race".

I never have been intimidated by a bike with bungee cords.

This is just another variation on the story we see quite often over here. "Look at me! I kicked the ass of a poseur who had expensive equipment! And I didn't even break a sweat to do it! Aren't I awesome!!!"
Congratulations. Here's the pat on the back you're looking for: *pat*
