Another Saddle Question?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Another Saddle Question?

I have found that the Fizik Aliante and my bottom are agreeing with one another through the Trial run at the local bike shop. But my wallet thinks that $150.00 dollars is a little high for multiple saddles that i will have to have to fit all bikes. Are there any good copies of the Aliante are very similar saddles that i could try? Thanks for any help!

I have no direct experience with it but the shape of this one looks similar:

I would consider seeing if used version of Aliante are out there.
the Neuvation S4 is more of a Fizik Pave shape and does not have the saddle like shape of the Aliante.
Also, if you don't mind a orange settle, as them if you are able to purchase the test saddle.
I refuse to believe Aliante is 150 bucks unless you are going to the carbon/braided version. Aliante was OEM saddles for a number of years on Giant bikes, and many people switched them out, go to your LBS and see if there is a Saddle BOX....
best of luck.

After many saddles, the Aliante was finally the one. Searching for a similar shape to save a few bucks when you have various internet options to find one at a discounted price doesn't seem worth it to me.

Just a thought: the Selle San Marco Regal is very, very similar- I just got done trying out the Aliante as a possible improvement to the Regal, and found them almost identical. They can be had for less by looking around... I got mine at Performance on sale for around $70.

imo when youve found something that works well, looking for the cheap solution were you save 50 bucks rarely works, then you end up buying two saddles, so just buy the dang saddle

What about the Soma Ensho? I'm just throwing things out there to see if they stick :-)

The thing with going for the cheap saddles is it's a crap shoot. I happen to have found one that works for me, but that's after many different attempts. I like the Nashbar GR2, kind of an Arione clone but wider, which I like.
