2010 SRAM Force Shifting

Need some clarification here. I'm riding a Pedal Force RS2 w/ full 2010 Sram Force group.
When shifting, I sense/notice the paddle actually moving not only towards the center but angling towards me (the saddle) also.
Has anybody noticed this?? Not a real complaint and shifting is great, especially under load.
Jury still out if I like it better (or is better) than ultegra.:(

sorry, i can't help with your problem but i just ordered a sram group and was wondering about something and didn't want to start a thread. SRAM can only shift up or down one gear at a time ? it can't move up several gears in one motion like shimano right?

That's how the paddle works. When shifting in the drops, this feature allows you to pull the paddle toward the bar for shifts. It's ergonomically advantageous, IMO.

NO, you can shift up to 3 on the upshift with my 2010 Force group. Rode 25 miles this morning in treacherous heat and used this function alot for uphill sprints.

It just depends on how you pull the paddle. If you want to pull it all the way back toward the bar and hold it there for sprinting, you can. If you just want to give it a quick flick to shift, it just moves sideways. It all just depends on how you move your finger when you shift it. When it comes do fore/aft movement, the paddles do what you make them do.

It's supposed to mimic the natural movement of the hand. It's a feature.

it's broken. Send it to me.
