Pcad's Non-Century Ride

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pcad's Non-Century Ride

Today's ride. 95 miles. 6000 vertical feet of climbing. 3000 Kj's. Why not go the extra 5 miles to make it a 'century' you ask?

Because that would be Frediculous, that's why.

Discuss.

I'm disappointed too. Five more miles would have made for a much happier ending.

Last month I did a ride at 97.76 miles. I was too hungry for the last 2.24 miles.

That's a lot of climbing for one ride, pcad. Last weekend I did a 48-miler with 3,000 feet of vertical gain, and that was enough for me.

You rock!

I thought you were going to tell us the Addict broke down.

Correct. I rule.

By the way, I did an 83 mile ride recently with 7500 feet of climbing. That was hillier.

I was going to take a day off the bike today, but now I feel inclined to go out and ride 5 miles just to complete the century. Then we will have something we can always share between us.
