Kids these days, tarcking on bikes and ****.

Maybe I'm just old, but what does 'tarcked on' mean?

Blackdays 07-24-10 12:52 PM

I like how he says "enough talk" to himself.

ElJamoquio 07-24-10 12:57 PM

I'm actually being serious. Does this mean it's never been on the track? Does it mean it's never been 'torqued on'? Is this some sort of fixster-alien code?

Atol 07-24-10 12:59 PM

How is he gonna barspinzz with those handlebars?

ls0725 07-24-10 01:01 PM

i think he means it's a fixie. i don't understand what he means by being 'locked up 10 times', must have been involved in a felony or something and is out now out on bail.

Quel 07-24-10 01:05 PM

It's better if you don't understand.

7bmwm3gtr 07-24-10 01:09 PM

It was a typo. He meant never been "tracked" on. As in, it's never been to a track.

It is an SFbay ad, so you would expect some ghetto or some slang. I'm surprised there was no "hella, hecka, hyphy, etc."

colombo357 07-24-10 01:12 PM

"Tarcked on and locked up" means he had sex with the bike, but fewer than 10 times so that's okay.

Kids these days. So horny.

clink83 07-24-10 01:14 PM

"Tarck"=tricked out out fashion over function hipster bike. He's saying it was properly built, and wasn't used to do stupid fixed gear freestyle stuff on.

Stealth'd 07-24-10 02:23 PM

Thats totes a misspelling

and a sidenote regarding your signature, do you think pre said that the day he got drunk and crashed his car?

That bike looks pretty tarcked... White Velocity B43s, Sugino crankset, Nitto handlebars...

ciocc_cat 07-24-10 03:41 PM

Depends on whether you're talking about cycling or Star Trek.

This.

According to the Urban Dictionary:

Tarck is the culture behind taking fixed gear bicycles designed for riding in the velodrome and riding them on the street. This subculture has a strong focus on color-coordination and fixed-gear specific tricks such as skidding or doing a whirly-bird.
"Did you see that kid doing barspinzzz on that tarck bike?"

dahut 07-24-10 04:17 PM

This. It's an intentional misspelling.

pokalex92 07-24-10 07:40 PM

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH. This is my friend's bike, and I saw him with this bike just half an hour ago.

And no, I don't know what he means by tarcked or locked up.

I tried clicking the comment field box to reply.... My brain must have been tarcked on.

wens 07-24-10 07:51 PM

It probably would have been wise to have blacked out his name...

pokalex92 07-24-10 08:03 PM

Not his real name.

ericm979 07-24-10 08:25 PM

"heavy lifting" to assemble a fixed gear?

I'm glad there's people like this to provide easy work for bike shop mechanics.

Oh, and I forgot about the white 700x28c tires. Does he actually ride this bike on the track?

ElJamoquio 07-25-10 12:16 PM

No, he says he doesn't tarck on it.

roadiejorge 07-25-10 12:24 PM

Tarck me?! No, tarck YOU!

The Weak Link 07-25-10 02:15 PM

"Tarck" is like "pwned".
