Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Black Red Tires

I know Kenda has them. What is another good tire brand or specific tire that comes in black and red? (not a tubular, and race training and racing preferred). Thanks

Bikes: R5, Allez Sprint, Shiv

Mich PR3s.

I believe Schwalbe Ultremos also come in red/black. As do Conti GP4000 (but not with the Black Chili).

Yep those look like what i am looking for. Do you like those tires? I have vittoria tires on my bike now, don't really like them (just plain black). Nice bike by the way.

I love the Conti GP4000s. I switched to them from Mich Pro3s because the Pro3s were wearing so quickly and I starting flatting too frequently for my taste. The Pro3s were an amazingly smooth riding tire, but the 4000s feel (at least to me) like their equivalent and they seem to wear less quickly. I've done a century on these, and a couple of longer century-prep rides (50 - 75 miles) on the Continentals and have been very happy with them.

If you do a BF search on GP4000s, you'll get a ton of hits, and I'm pretty sure you'll find most of them are positive regarding the tires. I'd also suggest checking ProBikeKit.com for them...they occasionally run sales on them. I got the pair for less than one tire would cost at any of my LBS, and that included shipping.

Yeah...I really like them!
