brake pad problem
For the last couple of ridesmy front brake has been moving to the tire and is causing me to have to work harder for a lower speed, i can feel the difference. I keep tightening the screw behind the brake so that it wont move while riding or hopefully at all. whenever i get back on the bike and am riding for a bit i notice that it has once again moved to the side of the tire causing it too squeak ( i think). What can i do to fix this problem? Also i am also not sure if the squeaking is coming from the the brake pads.
Any input would be great.

first of all is it rubbing the rim or tire? what material is your fork? (steel, alloy, corbon) and what kind of brakes.
I suspect what you may need is a star washer to help keep your brake centered. if you look behind the arms of your calipers you should see small flats that a 13mm or so wrench will fit onto. use these to hold and position the caliper while tightening.
also did you change your stem recently? if your fromt brake cable is too short that could be pulling your brake off center.

Also, make sure your wheel is centered in the frame. Loosen the quick release, make sure the wheel is where it should be, then tighten the QR again.
