Anything wrong with this clipless/shoe combo?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anything wrong with this clipless/shoe combo?

Greetings all!

I am about to pull the trigger on my first clipless setup and dont want to F up! I'm pretty sure I want recessed cleats (but can be swayed to go with straight road shoes...please provide reasons).

Does this combo sound alright to you?

Shoes: Shimano SH-M076
Pedals: Shimano A520

My questions:

1. these shoes/pedals will work together, correct?
2. anything I am missing here?
3. should i be looking in a different direction? (yes, i have a budget).

Thanks all!

Should be fine. I use the A520 pedals with a Pearl Izumi tri shoe... Tri fly III. You can check those out too.

You may want to think about buying a shoe that is SPD and LOOK compatible. Just a thought, but that way you can change pedals without getting new shoes. Mine have both which was a big selling point.
