Sidi shoes at PBK

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For people ordering from the US, be aware that as far as US Customs is concerned, shoes fall under textiles and are subject to additional import duties. So if your importation happens to fall under the eye of a watchful Import Specialist, you may be hit with some heavy duties. This may not be the bargain it appears at first.

Having bought two pairs of Sidis from PBK this year, I can tell you that no duty has been imposed.

Yeah, not such a great deal as earlier this year. I got my Ergo II's for about $285.

These guys did:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...t=customs+duty

It's not a 100% deal, but it can happen, depending on how the shipment is manifested and who in CBP gets their hands on the shipment.

What's with Probikekit and the 17.5% UK tax? I don't remember paying that before. Is it just new?

Change settings. You need to have country set to outside the EU, not just currency. Top left of home page (Change these settings).

No duties on shoes and tons of other stuff. If someone's afraid to spend too much on cycling they shouldn't have taken the red pill.

Not sure what the shipping situation is for you guys in the US but CRC has some pretty good Sidi deals at the moment too including a lot more sizes. On an unrelated note, I just got some nearly new Ergo2s for ~$200. Damn these are cool shoes.

In some models they have small numbers but in others the selection looks like ok.

Im chasing a new pair anyways, anybody familiar with Louis Garneau pro lite ones?

Whats CRC stands for?
