How would pcad know? He's on the other end of the state. IDK about Rochester itself (looks pretty flat from the Thruway), but go south about 50 miles and it's really nice country for riding. Hills? Yes. Mountains? No.

so did you meet coasting all alone or did the whole family meet his limey self? (if so how did you explain ditching the family during a layover to meet a man from the internet? [ i ask because everytime I tell me wife I am going to meet or try to meet someone from BF she thinks it is stupid])
And you have not answered the accent question.
Also what kind of freaking world is it where I have been asking for doomstock for like 16 months now and have not been able to see you but someone in another country on a different continent can? This is BS, I may give up stalking you.

Notice how he took the Scott, rather than that 'other' brand he sometimes rides...... He knew that it would survive the rough and tumble of international flight.......!

Pcad, how'd your bike fair via TSA/Custom's (I assume via JFK)?
Any difference in baggage fees for going overseas/out of US?

First off we flew in and out of EWR (Newark), not JFK. No customs issues with the bike assuming that it's your own bike that you brought from home. They want to charge customs duty if you purchased it abroad. Continental charges $100 each way to transport the bike, they charged that going out to Greece. But coming back our connecting airline was Aegean Airlines (we flew them from ATH to HTR), they don't have a fee, they checked the bag through to the Continental HTR/EWR flight, so there was no fee on the return.
By the way, from where we live, EWR is a zillion times easier than JFK, and the passport control lines were 1/3 as long, but it did help that we came in @ 10PM at night.

This jet lag is nasty. It's 3:30AM here and I'm wide awake. That's because it's 10:30AM in Greece.
