Check out the 4th Annual Ebbetts Pass Century on August 28th, 2010 being held in the Central Sierra Nevada. With 10,100 feet of climbing over 101 miles on scenic roads this is a great ride and well supported.

Additional Rides:
Bear Valley Metric Century: 64 miles & 7900 feet of climbing
Bear Valley Half Century: 48 miles & 4950 feet of climbing
Stanislaus Quarter Century: 28 miles & 3400 feet of climbing

This is a good event folks. Last year I did the metric (which was awesome) and this year I am aiming for the full century. If you like low-key and mellow organized rides this is one of the best. Good food, excellent terrain and even better people (both participants and organizers).
PS - I would like to carpool with somebody so if your intersted please send me a message - thx!

Thanks for the kudos.
Let us know where you live and we can try to help you with a carpool.
Looks like a great weekend for High Sierra cycling as the heat wave this week if forecasted to switch to a significant cool down for the weekend. Even possible thunderstorms on Sunday/Monday (the day after the ride).
See you this weekend!

Thanks MAS (Airdo) for helping me find a carpool and hosting such a great event. Even though the weather was abnormally cold in the morning and breezy during the day you did an excellent job keeping the riders fed, fueled and psyched to keep pedaling. Unfortunately I had to use the SAG wagon to get up Pacific Grade (24%!) but am motivated to train harder for next year. I also heard rumors about another supported ride out of Bear Valley that would be a Pre Death Ride sort of thing. Any specifics to share?

Thanks BearlyBoy. Yes we are considering a pre-Death Ride event about 2 weeks before the DR. Current idea is a route from Bear Valley to Markleeville and back with the option for the Spicer Reservoir as a bonus. More details in the coming months.
