2011, 105 bikes, any of them stand out?
there is no right answer, be as bias and subjective as you want.
i'm looking into purchasing a new road bike, shooting for 105 level.
there appear to be some changes in a few 2011 models, maybe enough to justify skipping out on 2010 bargains. I've read about a new 105 group, specialized allez and trek 2.1 being aluminum versions of tarmac/madone respectively. allez adopting SRAM apex.
ive looked online at cannondale, scott, pinarello, fuji, giant, bianchi, marin etc. and it seems like a lot of 105 bikes are either more expensive than specialized allez apex/trek 2.1 105 or the bikes are only "endurance/comfort" geometry. i adhere to the opposite belief that a long and low position is more comfortable over longer distances.
just wondering if anyone has seen a 105 level bike that screams BUY ME!
the bfssfg board steered me in the right direction with the IRO Mark V i have, so i'm hoping some of you could give me your opinion of a great road bike.

IMO, your body will give you an opinion of a great road bike by getting your arse on a bunch of them (but I am a fan of redesigned allez's).

I rode a 2011 Scott Addict R3 with the new 105 yesterday and it was a dream. Also the shop told me it was about $2020, so I thought that was a good pricepoint for me.

The Roubaix also comes with a 105 option. It's a really nice ride but you have to buy what fits your body and fits your style or no matter what you get, you will hate it.

Trek 2.3 has same geometries as very high end Madone's but Aluminum. Has nice Bonta. wheels. I believe this bike is a true 105 all around. Most 105 bikes at this $ have tektro brakes and some have fsa cranks.

I've been eying the 2011 Felt F75 in matte black. 105 (except crank), aluminum with smooth welds and carbon forks/stays. Beautiful looking bike for under $2k.

I bought a 2010 Addict R3 with 105, after I thought it was a dream too. Still love that bike, no regrets at all.

https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...te/7425/44036/ The TCR is snappy, responsive, and fast. Plus, Giant did well with their paint schemes this year, very understated and classy. This looks like a sweet ride to me! The new 105 is fantastic.

IMHO, the 2011 Scott CR1 Team is a great bike. Full 105 (inc brakes, and crank) and their awesome carbon @ 900 grams. Road one last Wednesday, and was very impressed. 105 is excellent, comfortable ,fast, very compliant ride. I ordered one, hope to see it by the end of September. Can't wait!

The Addict with 105 is going to be low 2's, the R2 with Ultegra has an MSRP of $3300. My LBS carries the Super Six too, the owner really thinks I wouldn't like that as much as my Addict, which I'm in love with.

Addict is a bit lighter, considerably stiffer. The CR1 has a more compliant ride. Addict climbs, sprints better. Addict is more of an all out racing bike, the CR1 is geared more to the Fredly crowd, but it's a perfectly good racing bike too.

Climbing is the one thing I noticed off the bat. For hills that i would usually dread, it took me up and gave me a very good ride.

LBS was selling 2011 full 105 Trek 2.3's for $1299. For the price I think that bike stands out nicely.
They had the 2.1 which is 105 but with tektro brakes and shimano crank, for $1030 I believe.
