New Bike
 

Between a trek 2.3 and specialized allez elite. both have 105 components. both ride great, just wondering wheryone's opinion between the two. same price range, ~ 1300. any opinions to either way. mostly casual rides about 200-400 miles per month. thanks in advance

Ride it for yourself and decide. Get a proper fit. An ill-fitting bike is a bike you won't ride...no matter the brand.

I have a 2010 Trek 2.1 and it's a great bike. I believe the 2.1 and 2.3 are pretty much the same except for a few different components. I've put almost 2000 miles on it since mid April and it's been great. I'm sure the Specialized will be just as good so you really can't go wrong either way.

Definitely try out as many bikes as you can. I got the 2011 Apex with SRAM Apex and I love it. I smile every time I swing my leg over it to get in the saddle.

I have the 2011 Allez comp with Apex, love the shifting... but agree, find what works for you!
