Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for a road bike

Am looking for a new road bike and am wondering which one is the best bike for the money. I have heard Fuji is the way to go but wanted to hear from anybody what their opinion is. Looking to spend only about $700.

Your local shops will start to offer great year end deals on 2009/2010 stock - check them as well.

Pick one. I'd recommend the Fuji. All 3 have a carbon fork, good aluminum frames and are about $650. Use the remaining money to buy accessories as they fit your budget.

Got this last year: https://www.fujibikes.com/Road/Sport/Newest30.aspx

Really liked riding it till it got stolen. Replaced it with the 1.0 upgrade to get
the 9 speed. No problems for about a year now, other than the rear spokes
popping. Dealer agreed with me to a Velocity Deep V upgrade, gave me a
huge discount since the wheel is still under warranty. This may or may not
apply to you. I'm 200 lbs. ride over 100 miles per week in the pothole riddled
city of New York.
