wrinkles in carbon fiber parts??? - sloppy cosmetic or structural integrity danger?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

wrinkles in carbon fiber parts??? - sloppy cosmetic or structural integrity danger?

I have noticed swirvy lines which look like "wrinkles" on/in some carbon fiber parts. I see one one my frame, one on a friends bike and I saw two in carbor fiber handlebar this morning in a shop. Are these just cosmetic or is their danger with these?

I have search in BF and online and did not find anything.....

Probably just poor layup. Unlikely to cause a problem.

Poor layup is a cause of failure in carbon parts....the wrinkle might just be strictly cosmetic....but no way in heck would I buy or use carbon bars or fork with such a issue...I've seen carbon forks fail under heavy braking loads...

mostly liking cosmetic. but you can't tell what underlying issue is if there is one. I would only buy clean layed carbon parts
