Yet another reason to love Jens

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yet another reason to love Jens

He's coming back for at least one more season. No team announced yet. And here's the awesome quote:

such a boss. I love me some Jens. That picture of him all bloodied up, riding a too small Mavic bike with toe-clips is just epic.

As a German I am proud to call Jens a fellow countryman. He is definitely one of my favorite cyclists.

Awesome rider, and he seems like a really nice guy too. It'll be a real loss to the peloton when he eventually retires.

that was one thing that i was wondering while watching this years TDF.....how often do riders end up resorting to taking a bike from the neutral service marvic car?

Jens is interviewed quite a bit in the movie Chasing Legends. He is full of great insight and inspiration. Love that guy!

Awesome, hopefully he follows the Schleck brothers to their new team, Luxembourg Pro Cycling. Apparently Cancellara is joining them as well.

I loved that. He isn't on Columbia, he isn't a sprinter, he has very little to do with the point of the movie, but he's just that awesome.

Actually, the story is even better than that! Here's an interview where he explains that he had crashed and realized there was no support car for him to get another bike.

I just imagine people's eyeballs turning into hearts and exclaiming his name with adoration when they see him, like some sort of real-life anime.

@dstrong: Thanks for the video.

Well, he was wrong (technically) about the winner of the tour but yeah, what great rider.

I'm feeling all all warm and fuzzy now.
