Difference between FSA Omega Compact and Vero Compact?
Hi guys,
Did a search but could not find any answer. Any idea what the difference between these two bars is? |
Same question. :)

vero is lesser quality...dont believe it is outboard bearing either (for bottom bracket)...so omega should have lighter weight and stiffer cranks, maybe better shifting too

interesting...apparently the omega is better but weighs more. im sure the vero bb is much heavier |
I think the OP is talking about handlebars and not cranksets
looks like the vero: Plain gauge compact alloy road bar from FSA. Simple yet effective. •31.8mm clamp zone, 400 / 420 / 440mm width •125mm drop, 80mm reach •Shot peened black anodised •Laser graphics •Weight - 300g and omega: The FSA Omega Shallow Handlebar has 125mm of drop and 80mm of reach. It has a modified ergo shape that is more rounded on the drops than typical ergo-design handlebars. It has both front and rear grooves for cable routing. The center section bulges to 31.8mm diameter. The bars are made from double-butted and shot-peened AL6066 tubing. The graphics are in White. The finish is Black anodizing. The bars come in 40, 42, and 44cm (measured center-to-center) widths. The weight is 300g. Double butted, tapered and shot-peened AL6061 Compact drop design for improved reach and comfort Double width cable groove improves cable routing and stiffness 120mm wide centre round section makes it easy to mount accessories 125mm drop, 80m reach Shot peened black anodised Polished centre section Laser graphics They look pretty much identical to me too.. maybe a fancier logo on the omega? |
Two year old thread guys. Got the FSA Omega Compact for wife and myself, and we couldn't be happier. In fact when we wanted bars for our tourers [Bike Fridays made to order], we got hold of similar bars.
