Black CAADs Thread...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think I've got it:

2ndGen is the CAAD equivalent of Razor and his POS Trek.

And FLAMING would be much more preferred by those complaining and
whining about a bike related thread than actual posting topic related posts.
How predictable.

9-6 (i think). it was the sora/tiagra model. i rode the sora/tiagra for a while...it performed just fine but of course performance is not enough! i wanted to go black and a bit lighter, plus i always wanted to try out SRAM so i ebay/craigslisted SRAM Force group for ~$500 and sold the sora/tiagra for ~$250.

I'd have to agree that this thread is a bit over the top, but I do love my CAAD quite a bit...

I've since changed out the bar tape (red), stem, brakes, and saddle for an Arione. Otherwise she's the same.

You had a 9-7 just like mine.

I just "upped" it from Sora/Tiagra to full Dura Ace with Ultegra SL Crank/6600 Cassette.

Gotta love the fact that one can get that BBQ in either the highest
model (9-1), the mid-model (9-4) or the lowest model (9-7).

BTW...Nice score on the SRAM group.

I'm thinking about either selling mine or using it on a builder for a winter project.

What's over the top is the whining about it by Anti-CAADians!

Here's a quick pic of mine right now:
