Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

CycleOps Trainers, Joule 3.0 Questions

Does the Joule accommodate multiple users?

There's no definitive info online. In the manual, CycleOps refers to a "multi user accessory kit" that takes USB dongles, but the kit itself is nowhere on their site. Our team shop owner said the 3.0 handles multiple users in-unit, but again I can't find literature on that.

I'm deciding between two trainers, the Pro 300 and Pro 400.

The robust features of the 400 would be nice but if only one person can be programmed to control it at a time—without having to get a second Joule or reprogram it everytime—then it's kinda ********.

If so we'll go with the 300. It has simple manually-controlled resistance and my wife can track her metrics on the included Joule while I use my Garmin.

The shop just received a batch of trainers but I don't get to see them until next week, and I don't know if there will be floor units anyway.

Thanks.
