knee pain. hamstring injury before.
so back when i was about 17 (20 now) i pulled my left hamstring pretty bad during high school track. never got around to even sprint in one meet. since then i havent done much in the area of physical activity, which led to my inflexibility left leg. i can sprint (run) hard but afterwards i can feel my hamstring getting tight which then i try to stretch it out and massage it. recently ive taken cycling to heart and i noticed that my left knee would get a lil sore while my right knee would be perfectly fine. i am thinking my hamstring injury is has to do something with the soreness in my left knee. i have bought a messaging ball and stick to try to get rid or loosen up the scar tissue. i am goign to stretch often because i really want to get into racing. i miss competition. what do you guys think? probably should have gone to the doctor and therapist a long time ago.

Cycling "knee" injuries are very often caused from the hamstring in one way or another. I would go see a Doc and see what he says is up. Most likely he'll set you up with some physical therapy and that hamstring problem will be gone for good in no time.

Knee pain often times comes from tight hamstrings, as does lower back pain. The tendon right below your kneecap will be especially stressed if your hamstrings are too tight. Stretch the hamstrings daily, if you are consistently stretching in a few weeks time I would be surprised if your knee pain doesn't improve.
