Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Show me your best face-palms...

I keep my carbon fiber bike leaned against the wall in the corner of my room, but now it's winter and I have the heat on. I'm worried the heat will attract homeless people to break in to get warm, and they'll steal my bike. Will the drop bars protect my bike from theft?

I think that was face-palm worthy. Let's see what you've got.

Half the posts in this forum recently are face palms. Any post asking what 10-speed means and needs to go to 2 pages is truly a face palm.

Nobody wants to actually do 5 minutes of research and learn in the process - they'd rather just ask their question right away and trust a forum for an answer. Insert Tactical Face Palm...

I heard that if you go in the hybrid forum and look for a picture of a bike that's not a Trek, you might as well be playing Where's Waldo.

What could I possibly post about a thread asking for facepalms? If I actually post a facepalm the OP will think I'm supporting it, instead of just posting a facepalm for making such a ridiculous thread.

That's quite a trap you've found yourself in. Looks like you had enough self-control not to go for the Faustian option and post a pic.

I've seen so many face-palms in roadie threads lately, usually because a noob has a noobish question ... here's a chance for people to get their face-palm cleverness out of their systems. Next week, we'll eradicate "flip it!"
