Aluminum wheels post crash?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aluminum wheels post crash?

So I took a nasty spill at around 23 about 8 weeks back and fractured my clavicle. Been riding my Roubaix on the trainer and am ready to hit the road again. But I'm a little wary about taking the carbon frame back on the road. I'll probably get a Felt AR5 or Cervelo S2, but would like to keep my Soul 4.0 wheels.

The wheels look to be in good shape. Is there any danger of using post-crash aluminum wheels on my new frame, or should I just get some new wheels for the new frame as well?

Just inspect them for damage and you should be good to go if you don't see any. They may need to be trued after taking a hard hit.

You can send them and the frame to me. I dispose of them properly.
