Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Your advice please. How would you build up this Look KG196?

I just picked up this Look KG196 frame. One of the first "rocket bikes," circa 1992-97. So it's not really C&V and not really modern. The C&V guys gave me their opinions. How would you build it up?

Drops/STI? Bulls, aerobars, barends? Etc.?

Thanks

Wasn't that a time trial frame? If so, I'd say bullhorns and aero bars with the aero bar shifters, and a disk rear wheel.

I'd build it up like a road bike - that was the original intent. It's a harsh riding frame, even compared to the frames in that era, and it's not light. I'd build it up for aero/speed since that's what it was.

Doing a Dura Ace AX would be interesting.

Nice catch though.

Rode one for a month back in the day,
