Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone bought a Madone/Madone SL 5.2?

Hello,

I would like to know if any of you has bought one these two bikes. I'm going to do some stage races on november and december and the date that the bike will be shipped is unkown.

So any of you with some info about when are they going to start to get shipped? These bikes will come with Ultegra 2005. Thanks!!!

Rob

Read the summary on the 25th review, it's a review on the Madone 5.2

Ahhh missed that. Seems he has a 9 Speed triple though. I'd like to see someone compare the 5200 against the 5.2 since some people prefered the 5900 over the 5.9.

We have a Madone in our shop. Had it for about three weeks. They are shipping the "last year frames" with the fin on the seat tube with Ultegra 9's...will not ship the newer ones (or the redone 2300) until the Ultegra 10 comes out.
Heck, if they waited for the 10's, they'd put smaller shops out of business.

On the 2005 (10 speed) Ultegra, my LBS says that it MAY be availalbe in a few weeks (after it's unveiling in the upcoming interbike). But even they aren't 100% sure at this point.

Thanks for all the info. I'm very excited about the new bike as I'm waiting for it, I'm sure you all understand how much one can think of a bike.
